This summer you can save 20% on stays at Union Geiranger on selected dates. The offer applies to all room categories and to packages with breakfast or half board.

Summer is high season along the Geirangerfjord. The waterfalls thunder into deep blue water, the trails are open from shoreline to mountaintop, and the daylight lasts almost all night.

It’s no coincidence that travelers from all over the world have come here ever since the first cruise ship sailed into the fjord in 1869 – and it’s no coincidence that UNESCO chose to protect it.

Hike to Skageflå – the fjord farm that clings 250 metres above the water – or head up to Ørnesvingen, the viewpoint that gave its name to the hotel’s signature cocktail.

If you want to get even closer, a kayak trip or fjord sightseeing by boat is a truly special experience. For those with a taste for adventure, the via ferrata and zipline in Geiranger Naturpark are a natural choice.

Back at the hotel, something just as unique awaits: the vintage car garage, where the cars that carried tourists around Geiranger in the 1920s and 30s are still in excellent condition – and available for the hotel’s guests.

Breakfast

Restaurant Fjorden serves a breakfast buffet every morning – hot and cold dishes, fresh bread and pastries, local ingredients, and everything you need to head out on your adventures.

Would you rather start the day in peace and quiet? You can order breakfast to be served in your room, or enjoy the spa breakfast from 09:00 to 12:00 – included for all guests with access to Union Spa.

Lunch

Restaurant Julie – named after Julie Mjelva, the first in the family to run the hotel – serves lunch from 12:00 to 17:00, offering a varied selection of salads, sandwiches, pizza, burgers and hot dishes.

Kafé Løsta on the 3rd floor, right by the pool area, serves light lunch dishes and drinks in a relaxed, informal setting. On fine days, the garden is a wonderful place to sit.

This summer you can also enjoy lunch outdoors on the Queen’s Terrace – the hotel’s large terrace with direct views of the Geiranger fjord.

Dinner

Every evening from 18:30 we invite you to the Union buffet in Restaurant Fjorden – a generous spread of hot and cold quality dishes, all made from scratch by our chefs with seasonal ingredients. Choose between two seating times: 18:30 or 20:00.

The evening rounds off with a dessert buffet prepared by our pastry chefs. If you prefer to sit à la carte, Restaurant Julie is an intimate and welcoming option, serving starters, main courses and wines from the hotel’s own wine cellar.

And when the summer evening is gentle, the Queen’s Terrace is the place to be – outdoor dining with the fjord as your backdrop.

Union Spa

The spa at Hotel Union is a destination in its own right. Outdoor hot pools with panoramic views of the Geiranger fjord, indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and a wide range of treatments – massage, body wraps, facials and more. It’s easy to lose track of time here.

The spa breakfast – served from 09:00 to 12:00 – is included for all guests with access to Union Spa, and is a natural way to start a full day of wellness. We recommend booking treatments well in advance, as capacity is limited during the high season.
