From Oslo to Geiranger during summer
It has never been easier to travel to Geiranger. Whether you arrive by car, boat, bus, or plane, there are excellent options that bring you all the way to Union Geiranger Resort & Spa – right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage area.

New direct bus from Oslo and Ålesund
This summer you can travel in comfort to Geiranger on the new Vy express route VY450. The route runs daily between Oslo and Ålesund via Beitostølen, Gjendesheim and Lom, and stops at Union Geiranger Resort & Spa.
The bus is operated with modern double-deckers that offer a wonderful travel experience through some of Norway’s most beautiful mountain and fjord landscapes. From the upper deck you can enjoy panoramic views along the way, and on board you’ll find comfortable seats, power outlets at every seat, free Wi-Fi, and restrooms.
Departures to Geiranger
- From Oslo: 8:30 a.m.
- From Ålesund: 9:30 a.m.
Departures from Geiranger
- To Oslo: 12:51 p.m.
- To Ålesund: 4:08 p.m.
The summer route runs daily until 30 August.
