Stories around the bonfire

Hear stories from the region and get to know the traditions surrounding kønnøl and neip – a living part of the cultural heritage in Sunnmøre and the fjord villages.

Campfire and storytelling about the fjord

We gather around the fire for an evening of local stories, traditions, and flavors from the fjord village. Here you’ll hear tales from the region and get to know the traditions surrounding kønnøl and neip – an important part of the cultural heritage of Sunnmøre and the fjord communities.

Kønnøl is a locally brewed farmhouse beer, often made from old recipes with malt, hops and juniper, while neip is a traditional bread baked with potato and flour. Together, they have been a natural part of local gatherings for generations.
